Definition:
The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear, or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence, and resolution; bravery.
Brief Explanation:
I loved both the movies Brave heart and Norma Rae. Both speak of courage, expressed differently, as the key characters faced great odds and overcame in different ways. Courage to face the truth, to deal with problems, to make new choices comes from the heart, especially when the heart has been changed by God’s power. As a counselor, it is essential to encourage (a form of courage) your counselee to take courage, trusting that the Lord will help them wherever they find themselves. Psalms 27: 14

John 16:33
“These things have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
