MIRACLES

Definition:

An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God

Brief Explanation:

The phrase “It’s a Miracle” is thrown around in common discussion for the most trivial things (such us that a husband came home on time). Truthfully, miracles of healing are rare and incredible; that is why they are called a miracle. I believe in miracles. I have seen and experienced miraculous healings in people; they defy logic, but God still does them, according to his sovereignty. As counselors, there will be clients you work with that seems beyond hope, and when they experience healing, restoration, or overcome a life debilitating problem, it seems miraculous, and maybe it is, if it defies logic, is beyond natural ability, and fits into the sovereign purpose of God. Believe in miracles; trust God for the supernatural; God may just surprise you.

Exodus 34:10

Then God said, “Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles, which have not been produced in all the earth, nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.”

Psalm 77:14

“You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your strength among the peoples.”

“For the man was more than forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.”

“And Simon also believed; and being baptized, he continued with Philip; and saw many signs and great miracles; he was amazed.”

“And God has placed some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, and then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and different kinds of tongues.”
